Signature COCKTAILS BY Painturaud frères
Cognac is well-known as a digestive. However it can be mixed perfectly in cocktails, particularly with the younger qualities of a VS or VSOP. At Maison Painturaud Frères we specifically made our cognac VSOP Band of 4 Brothers so it can be tasted in many ways such as a digestive, on the rocks, frozen and above all in cocktails. In collaboration with Germain Canto, mixologist cognac enthusiast, we imagined four signature cocktails based on the tastes of each of the four brothers.
THE FUEL
45ml “Band of 4 Brothers” VSOP Cognac
45ml Grapefruit
20ml Very Old White Pineau
ARTONIC Ginger Ale
HOW TO MAKE
In a shaker, poor all the ingredients and shake for 12 seconds. Serve into a highball. Top with ginger ale.
GARNISH
Half wheel, of grapefruit.
THE HUNTER
40ml “Band of 4 Brothers” VSOP Cognac
10ml lemon juice
30ml White Pineau
10ml Amarro
HOW TO MAKE
In a shaker, poor all the ingredients and shake for 12 seconds. Double strain into a coupette glace.
GARNISH
A lemon zest
THE ROCK’
45ml “Band of 4 Brothers” VSOP Cognac
15ml Pear liquor
10ml Lime Juice
10ml Sauvignon blanc
HOW TO MAKE
In a shaker, poor all the ingredients and shake for 12 seconds. Serve into a rock glass.
GARNISH
A clear ice block and a shiso leave or comestible flower.

20ml Fig liquor
10ml Verjus
100ml TONIC ARTONIC
PREPARATION
Build the cocktail into a highball then top with tonic.
GARNISH
A cucumber slice.
OUR PINEAU COCKTAILS
NEGRONI
4cl Painturaud Frères Pineau des Charentes rosé
2cl Aperol or Campari
4cl of gin
Orange zest
HOW TO MAKE
Pour all ingredients into a glass filled with ice cubes. Stir with a spoon.
GARNISH
Squeeze out the orange peel and garnish the cocktail.
SPRitz
5cl Painturaud Frères Old Pineau des Charentes
5cl sparkling wine, Prosecco
2cl sparkling water
1 slice of orange or grapefruit
HOW TO MAKE
Pour the Pineau des Charentes into a wine glass filled with ice cubes. Add the sparkling wine and the sparkling water and stir with a spoon.
GARNISH
Garnish with a slice of orange or grapefruit.

6cl Painturaud Frères white Pineau des Charentes
2cl rum
1.5cl lime juice
1 passion fruit
1 sprig of fresh mint
6 ice cubes
HOW TO MAKE
In a blender, combine the Pineau, Rum, lime juice and ice cubes. Blend for 30 seconds.
GARNISH
Pour into a glass with the passion fruit flesh and garnish with the mint sprig.

5cl Painturaud Frères white Pineau des Charentes
10cl of Ginger Beer
2 ice cubes
3/4 drops Angostura bitter
2 half slices of lime
HOW TO MAKE
In a glass, serve the Painturaud Frères white Pineau des Charentes well chilled. Add the ginger beer (10cl) and a few drops of Angostura bitter. Stir and add 2 ice cubes.
GARNISH
Garnish with 2 lime slices.
